Is it time to ban ring mat ads?

I've now seen this three major fights in a row - Cotto vs. Foreman, Williams vs. Cintron, and Abraham vs. Dirrell - where one fighter slipped on one of the ring decals and disaster followed. It seems this is a recent trend that always happens around the corners of the ring, where most of those loud, obnoxious ads on the floor appear. Are they to blame? Should they be banned?

In Dirrell's case it doesn't matter, he slips on the canvas all the time like it's fully covered with banana peels :D

But for the rest, you're right, every meassure has to be taken to ensure the safety for fighters

I've always preferred a plain ring mat to an ad covered one but that's just me, I have my bias. Still spilled water is dangerous too so it's not fair to blame slipping on just ads.

Can they not make these ads to the same texture as the rest of the canvas so they are not slippery at all?
