Should we go back to the days in which fighters weigh in on the morning of their fight?
    Seems more fair to me.

Don't, they would lose the argument that pac is draining his opponents.

it's unnecessary because it doesn't solve the "problem" you see.

The only thing that would have changed would be Chavez, but also, and this is the deciding point, Rubio would have come in a bit lighter. The weight difference would still be approximately the same.

I dont think it would makes a difference, Chavez Jr. would still come in heavier. Fighters do what they can to gain an advantage. Chavez at some point will drain too much end up losing muscle and get spanked. Some guys have speed some have size some have strength, each fighter has to make the most out of what they bring to the table.

Yes, its only logical... Weight div's exist for a reason and this rehydration loophole is making it useless. 90% of boxers do it but some
Do it better then others. JCCjr is a recent prime
    Example

It isn't fair. Let guys fight at what they really weigh, if they are losing too much to be strong that's their own foolish fault. 21 pounds is ludicrous, he was a cruiserweight. Some guys don't cut more than a few pounds.

Either that or let Chavez Jr fight one of the Klitschkos to get a dose of his own medicine.

it would make it more skill based instead of people going through the trouble of stripping off weight so they would be bigger than their opponent when they step in the ring. People like Manny and Floyd would actually be welterweights when they step in.

I dont see why not, that system is still used in the amateurs

The problem is the big boxing organizations, they want to make a spectacle out of the weigh-ins to get more publicity

    No.

Fighters don't need to dehydrate themselves the morning of their fight.
