    Only 5lbs buddy?

Fighters dry out to make weight, unless they're incredibly small for the division. The majority dry out (lose water weight) 5lbs is not much at-all when you've dried out, you'd need to stay on a diet till fight time.

If guys fight in the right division then rehydrating will not be an issue.

I think people should fight in their correct divisions

If you walk in the ring at 153 then you are a JMW, and you should fight others who have a ringweight of a JMW

weigh in breifly before the hands are wrapped, no need for a spectacle

There should be a rehydration clause for every fight, set at around 5% of bodyweight.

They need to the fact that Chavez jr weighed 181 and Rubio 171 for a middleweight belt is just a mochery of the division ! It also makes it too easy for fighters !

No........how many more fights would be cancelled? How many fighters would be hurt or killed in the ring.

MOF....I wouldn't be opposed to increasing the time btween weighin and fight to 48 hrs. :deal

The IBF have a re-hydration clause of 10Lbs on the day of the fight so they are trying to do something about it. Something needs to be done IMO.

I don't like the fact there can be massive differences in weights between to fighters in the same weight class (exclude Heavy in this). But it's to dangerous for weigh in on day of the fight.

Same day weigh in can be dangerous as hell to boxes if they don't get enough time to re-hydrate. What they need to do is have a weigh in the day before and then a re-hydration limited weigh in the next day.

It's the safest all round method to do it imo.

In the same breath, arguing about imposing a standard re-hydration clause would bring up the concept of a Super Heavyweight division again.

The issue exists at HW, when a guy like Vitali hits Adamek, there's that huge weight gap.
I don't agree with a SHW division but you can't take steps to avert a huge size difference in lower divisions, without addressing it at Heavyweight, or it's double standards.

    Brandon Rios

boxing career 6 years (from age 19?)

    Weight classes foguth in 133-138

    fights normally @ 135

    walks around at 155-160..

    fights @ 155..

    Fights people at 135 pounds

can barely make it and starves himself to make 135

    Wtf is this^?

Is he afraid to fight people at 140?

He is forced to move to 140 FINALLY because he physically cannot make 135 unless he starves himself to the point of hospitalization.
