This is a philosophical post without any research but, with a few beers. Eddie Hearn is clearly a con man. This fight was hyped to **** and got everyone talking regardless of whether one is a casual or not. He has overseen many dubious fights that I've seen. To my eyes the Klitschko vs Fury fight had a stink about it. Those titles needed taking off Klitschko to open up the HW div for his star asset AJ. Fury seems like the perfect candidate for that. Loopy and unhinged, above suspicion for a fix IMO. He has presided over a fair few duff over hyped PPV. Has a strange way of getting his fighters in to title fights, with a suspicion of unfairness in the match ups. Look at the Edwards bout. This latest fight with GGG and brook seems fishy. It has a motive in the sense it opens GGG to the various English middle weights. These are sure to create hype for the British market. Away from Hearn, there ODLH and his **** show of a promoting company. Haymon is no better. The point being. Are we lambasting fighters too much for ducking when money and potential revenue are the real causes. It takes a lot of money to make a fight. They need a return. I personally feel once a fighter signs he has very little choice in his fights. It's like a ballet dance between the money makers with the end goal of fleecing the public. Sadly fighters need the pay day so they risk a beating, or even their lives for little more than what is tantamount to a scam. One where we the fans are the perps. I see it in football. I see it in cricket. The fans are a milkable asset nowadays. Hype and BS through a compliant media are the name of the game. Not the best fighters fighting the best.
