Quality over quantity any day. Though unhappy about the Hatton shows in all fairness.

In my opinion, if you are purely subscribing SKY Sports for boxing, stop. Instead invest in a local monthly show. By doing so, you are doing yourself and the sport, a much bigger favour.

Anyone ever hear what happen with Skys Golden Boy deal?

Shortest deal in history I think & really only about 3 fights.

Leave them and give it a month or two and they will be begging you to come back. I pay £22.50 a month and get everything except Sky Movies

I got Skysports for free due to a **** up by them. It lasted about 18 months, only thing was I couldn't order PPV in case they noticed!

Saved me an absolute shitload. Think the bill would've been about 50 quid - can't remember. Anyway best bit is when I left the country I gave the sky and card etc. to my mother and she still hasn't paid a penny - stills works absolutely fine.

That was nearly a year ago. So...ahem....

    **** You Sky!!!

I pay £20.00 for the standard package; then on top of that it's £16.00 for all the movies or £20.00 for the sports.

So I think you're right, Sky is the **** taking me for a mug!

If you ring up and ask to cancel they sometimes offer massive discounts to persuade you not to. Not sure if they always do or still do, though.

They halved my Sky package cost ages ago for 6 months, apparently you can only get one of these things every 12 months. It's a retention tool. Now I've had HD for a year at the end of this month I will try and get another 50% knocked off.

Our Sky bill is around £50, we have everything on it.

We rang up last week asking whether we could drop Sky Sports, how much that would save, and whether we could keep Sky F1 but lose the rest of Sky Sports. According to Sky, Sky F1 is nothing to do with the sports package if you have HD, so as we do have HD we could lose all the Sky Sports channels and still keep F1.

Apparently we pay £20 for Sky Sports, if we drop that to £10 we can keep SS1, just lose SS2-4. Given that they're now so limited for boxing anyway, and we don't watch football, and we can keep F1 anyway, we have cancelled SS2-4 - so we save a tenner, which we spend on BoxNation instead as we just think it's far better than the Sky boxing options.

As someone said earlier in the thread, it's boxing, I don't care about production values, I just want to see the fights with hopefully some pundits I don't mind), I'd rather save the £10. As we can keep SS1, we'll still pick up a range of the boxing bills.

Er... apologies for the ramble lol.

 A fair point, well made. Apologies, I was on the 'phone to Mrs Templar, doing something complicated at work and waffling on ESB simultaneously. I have cleaned it up a little, although it's probably not much better!
