Nothing serious here mate. Considering what the fight will make i think 1 million is a bit of a tight offer.

Froch has obviously thought, he wants a rematch he can have it. But im gonna screw him when it comes to what he should be earning

They just dont like each other.

Id be interested to know what figure Froch has been offered for the rematch. Then we can assess the properly

Groves literally threw the kitchen sink at Froch, especially in the 6th round, and Froch was still standing. When all the adrenaline dies down and the rematch was sent his way, he knew that he'll have to go through all that again. Only he knows how much out on his feet he was in the 9th. My guess is he blew most of his load in the 6th and was gassing in the 9th when Froch was starting to get success. It's going to be another trip into the trenches for Groves, hence why he wants more money.

We don't know the terms of the deal offered Froch could easily have sent Groves a deal with loads of options etc attatched to it knowing Groves will turn it down and Froch can now turn and say "Look who's ducking the fight now.

No offering **** money is a clear way of saving face but getting out of a fight. People saying it isn't **** money its 1m from a fight that can make 10m what Groves should take 10% besides Groves doesn't need Froch that badly, Carl needs Groves though he is near the end and wants to make big money Groves is easily his best option. What else will he do go loose to Ward, Kovalev, Stevenson, GGG or cherry pick Kessler or JCC both of which will do **** on PPV. If Froch wanted the fight he'd give Groves the same as before 25% which by going to the IBF is what Groves clearly wants and frankly it's what he deserves.

Carl needs Groves to make the mega bucks. It's that simple, without Groves he'd have to fight 4 or 5 more times to get the same kind of money... Now people let's think this through for a minute, If you were Eddie Hearn and were trying to maximise your guys position especially since Carl is being seen as the 'ducker' in the equation, what would you do? Send a lowball offer, with options attached knowing it will be turned down? Of course you would, this is called negotiating. And by sending the low offer knowing that George will not accept enhances Froch/Hearns position, especially in the court of public perception as some people will now see George as 'ducking' by turning down the offer. They have thrown the ball back in Georges court, they are trying to manipulate public perception here.

It is nothign but business, I am pretty certain that this is not the final offer from Hearn to George.

Honestly i remember a guy in round 9 going in to end the fight. IIRC it was Froch clumping Groves and chasing him to finish.

All this coward stuff, and this ''running man'' stuff is sickening and makes me wonder why i bother with talking to ''fans''. The man's laid it all on the line and his toughness was further proven against Groves.

He created the situation for the stoppage and the ref obliged. No matter how quickly he jumped in it's not Froch's fault.

I just wish all this childish stuff stopped, It was a good fight, Not great but a good fight and both men did themselves and the sport justice that night.

No one's ducking anyone. If Froch wants to fight in the MGM then so be it IMO. I don't think i could bear another build up and another 4-5 months of this .

Smart move from Matchroom - Gotta give them cudos

offering him 'double' is about 1m, they know the offer is not particularly 'fair' as the chances are that the fight will make in excess of 10 - 15 million??? (i dont actually know)

The offer i am certain was never intended to be accepted, but if on the off chance it was Carl would rake in some serious serious money!

Groves simply cannot earn 1m anywhere else - the only way he will get more is if he fights, wins and they do the rubber match.

very very smart stuff from Matchroom - This fight isn't happening!
