    Greetings, Everyone

I've been lurking on this site for about a year now finally time to come out!
Anyway i have always had a intrest in boxing. However my mother was not having it :bart so I dropped it. Well here I am 4 years later recently turned 21 currently living in Puerto Rico. Since boxing is so huge down here my interest re-surfaced however i'm wondering if it was to late to start? all opinions are welcome. Thanks for your time

Of course not. Nate Campbell didn't put on a pair of gloves until he was 24, and he done alright. Go for it man.

Honestly, if your goal is to turn pro and be a world-champ, your age might be a factor, but as TommyV pointed out, certainly not impossible.

But if your looking to have fun and get in shape it's never too late. I'm 35 and absolutely suck, but I enjoy it and what the sport represents. It gives me a particular reason to work out and a goal to work towards instead of aimlessly walking into the gym and lifting weights in the mirror.

you still have time to be succesful. If your 21 now you could stay in the amateur ranks for 4 or 5 years learn your trade. Turn pro at 25 years old. If you average 5 fights a year thats 25 fights by the time you are 30. Remember 35 is the new 25 these days, because of sports science and better nutritional knowledge and training methods fighters are fighting on longer then they use to in the old days. Anything is possible my friend..

No it aint too late. I started at Boxing Pro aged 33- i never trained in boxing and never had an amateur fight ay all. I was a kick boxer before that....and i started that at 30! I had fun and it Kept me off the street at a time when my life fell apart for a while (marriage bustup etc).

I had 40 pro boxing and 24 thai/kickboxing fights and i finally retired at 43......i beat a 27year old in my very last fight (full-Thai rules) . I never was very good but i loved it better than i could ever express. It was my addiction! :rasta

The reason that so many old boxers are still boxing is that they fight infrequently and their careers are managed to avoid too many dangerous opponents. Nutritional knowledge don't mean ****.

Yes, far too late. In fact, you shouldn't do any kind of exercise at all.
