I'd just mention that I wouldn't expect the pro scene there to be any more legit than the amateurs. Either way I'd try to have a manager and/or trainer who knows what they're doing and will look out for your interests. And no of course its not too late. If you think you have a serious chance of going somewhere with this then I'd take peoples advice and get more amateur experience beforehand tho.
