I can see your point. There's nothing wrong with a cutoff, if there no possible way someone could benefit in any way from PEDs during a window like this. But, few to none of us are experts in the area of PEDs. I don't claim to be, and I assume you don't either. Of course, we don't have to be completely ignorant on the topic, either, with the internet at our disposal.

Anyway, my point is if you can't guarantee 100% that a fighter could not use and benefit from ANY type of PEDs, within a period of days or weeks, it makes sense to not give the individual any gaping window of time to do so. And, since it's too invasive to be with the fighter 24/7, it's nearly as effective to not tell the fighter when your going to show up and what type of sample you will need. The randomness will serve as a good enough deterrent.

Samething as testing up to the day of the fight. How soon they are going to get the result of the test? 2 to 3 days or a week after?
