Prime Lewis had competitive fights with shot washed up 36/37 Holyfield. Lewis couldnt dominate him. In many people's eyes Holyfield won the 2nd fight, if Lewis struggled with an old Holyfield imagine prime Holyfield ?

Lewis won the first fight in dominant fashion. At least 9-3 or 10-2.

2nd fight Evander made some adjustments and made it a better fight. Lennox still won it close but clear.

When looking at Holyfield remember his heavyweight prime was around 1988-92. He was quicker, moved around more, essentially he Boxed like a middleweight. Problem was it worked until it didn't. He would throw some snappy flurries but if his larger opponent didn't go down Holyfield would gas a little. Not because he wasn't in shape but because he was punching himself out.

Evander wasn't as strong in his prime at 208lbs. He wasn't as savvy fighting inside with some of the rough infighting, using his shoulders, elbows, head etc. That was the post prime version who for a couple years was very effective while some of his speed was still there.

With that said I think the best version or prime versions of each here ends up with Holyfield on the wrong end of a knockout loss.

Of course it isn't unanimous. If anything more people would favour Lewis. And I'm not so sure if the smaller, more reckless prime Holyfield does as well as the bigger, stronger version that fought Lewis and clearly lost to him twice.

I would like to see Evander in his prime beat Lewis and there’s a chance he might have. Not something I’m totally sold on though.

No it's not, but judging by their second fight, I'm confident '93 Holy (the one best suited to take on Lewis imo) wins.

Lewis would win. Second with was a little closer because Lewis thought it would be easy based on the first.

Also, Holy was a PEDs cheat on HGH, one of the most powerful PEDs. He might have just used his use of HGH.

Nah. The best version of Hollyfield was lighter and faster but wouldn't have the power to hurt Lewis. I think the older version does better as what happened in reality. but still not enough to beat Lewis.
It's funny that people act like Holyfield was unbeaten at heavy he wasn't.

I mean it's possible that a lighter faster version of Holyfield could beat Lewis, but if I had to put money on it the cash would be on Lewis.

Can we please stop this alt accusing when someone posts something you don't like?

    Seriously, it gets tedious.

Second fight was closer but still a comfortable win for Lennox

When I talk about "prime vs prime", I always try to determine when it is prime (which year, or better yet - which fight).
For Holyfield I would say it was 1993., and the Holfield - Bove 2 fight.
For Lennox Lewis, I would say that this is the period before the defeat by Rahman; therefore 2000.
Can prime Holyfield beat Lennox Lewis? I think he can.
Would Holfield win multiple times in 10 fights, or would it be Lennox Lewis?
I think Lennox Lewis would win multiple times.
