i hear guys all the time saying things like "oh you just care about appearance and not boxing"

    cant we have both??

i myself (dont want to brag) have a pretty good physique people tell me i am just there to look good, i tell them i didn't choose to look like that, this is how i am.

i have not lifted weights in about 2 or 3 months (no time) but i still work max strength using bodyweight movements such as one handed push ups, one legged squats and handstand push ups etc

cant we all just get along the people with nice physiques and the people without???

No way pretty boy take your oiled up, tanned, g-string posing body away from here.

To post here you need a pot belly, a few missing teeth, man boobs and some acne.

Nothing wrong with wanting to look good at all, I'm sure the girls would prefer it over this..........

Not at all. Aesthetics is an element of the game. It can and has been intimidating for amateurs and pros.

Mainly, a good body can be indictive of the hard work put in and thats the true reward.

the people who rip you off about having a good body are no doubt jealous because they cant achieve the same results.
if your spending all your time at the gym doing bicep curls then theres a problem but im sure you train hard with all boxing work that you do.
ive also got the curse of being extremely good looking, its hard work knocking back all the girls and concentrating on boxing alone but youll get there son.

You can have both but to be successful you usually have to pick a specialist subject.

Just compare Bodybuilding to Powerlifting. When you start off you succeed in both (look good and lift heavy), but you will soon realise that if you want to be the best you have to make a choice and stick to it.

You may not want to break any records/have 0.0000001 bodyfat though.

If you have genetics that allow you to look great whilst specialising, then great.

Its ok to have a muscular physique when your doing boxing, but if your training with your top off in an open boxing gym whilst listening to hit me with your best shot on your ipod then you deserve muscular dystrophy.

Bull****. Butterbean had nothing but Biceps and was infamous for his powershots.

I dont look good but because I have light brown hair and blue eyes I get called the equivalent of a "pretty boy" in the gym. Wish I could get more girls thinking I look good, but if men think that then something is definately wrong.

I trump it up to my hair and eye color versus japanese always being black/brown. Still makes me uneasy...
