I think he is. He takes action when he should, he issues warning when he should and he stops the fights when he should. I think he's the best referee out there. What do you think?
No. Howard Foster is. Look at the job he did for British boxing by stopping that Froch-Groves fight early. Boxing has become much more mainstream since.
he is my favourite ref too. because he let's them go at it a lot. but doesn't put up with BS either. where steve smoger let's it go when I've seen boxers ruin fight with holding. Postol was going to grab a bit and box and try winning that way (and he would have) then he wasn't able to hold anymore and just changed it up. Postolmania running wild.
What he did was a favor to Postol as well. Postol stopped the clinching after the second warning and now people can't say he clinched his way into a victory. He boxed and won.
