So he's now going to 168 but why? @ 168 there's Ward, Froch, Kessler, Dirrell, Groves, DeGale, Johnson, Bute - is he mad?

Is it because he knows he will have to fight Pirog again @ 160 or look like a *****?

Has Martinez's recent form mad him drop a big one as well?

This is a bad managerial move. 160 is stacked. 168 is fricking supernatural!!!!!

Huh? He is a prospect that just got KTFO. He is probably just now getting back into training heavy and couldn't comfortably make 160. He will probably cut down over time.

Come on man. Give the guy a chance to DESERVE the criticism.

Oh I hear you mate I am not ragging on Jacobs for no reason he has a long way to go and even the bets loose but man why 168!?!? From a managerial and growth perspective 168 is a terrible choice :blood

Absolutely not. Pirog is running from Jacobs. Ask Charlie.

Jacobs deserves a break, I dont know whats going on with him. Maybe he cant make the weight anymore that's what usually happens when you go up after a loss.

How is he running from Pirog? Pirog already kicked his ass. It's not like Pirog is demanding a rematch.

He should call out Andy lee , just for an easy win over a ranked guy.

Get the **** out of here. He struggled against Ishe Smith for christ sakes. He's got good pure boxing skills but he's ****ing soft. He's easily muscled and doesn't know how to react to pressure. Froch and Bute would both kill him.

jacobs is a talented kid who just got shown the ropes by a very seasoned and clearly underrated stud. how he's running from the dude who just sparked him....

he has a lot to work with. with the right team around him he should bounce back. to entertain the first post...yes he would be mad to be going to 168...but ive seen nothing to indicate he is (doesnt mean it aint happening).

move laterally and don't back up in straight lines. keep your hands up after you throw and don't throw and recoil w/ your chin exposed. jacobs can (not saying he will) be fine. i'm pulling for the kid

Pirog would probably whoop that ass again, but I don't get the logic of running from one guy to move up a division where there are much better fighters.

    This post answers all.

I liked watching the kid fight, and I too always questioned what would happen when he stepped up in comp. We saw what happened, but it's not the end for him. Great fighters get up from this type of thing all the time and return better. We have yet to see what this guy's story will be.

Johnson, Froch, and Bute all knock him out.
