He's still alive, as far as I know. He will be 89 in July.

shame Marciano or Louis couldn't live as long as him.
they'd both have something to say about the current fight game.

Dog, when you look someone famous up on Wikipedia, if it lists their birth date and not their death date, they're with us. I think it was just last year Jake was in the audience during FNF.

That line sums up the man!!!!
Sidenote-I always wondered if Lamotta weighed the same as Marciano, we would have the immovable object .against the irresistable force....
    i can dream ,can I ?

LaMotta's highest professional weight was 175, and he was a light heavyweight in the amateurs, while Rocky's lowest recorded weight was 178 in 1948. They shared the same reach, while Jake was a couple inches shorter. Marciano would not have been the largest opponent of LaMotta's career, while Beshore was also shorter than the Rock. Johnnie Pretzie lasted into round five with Rocky in March 1949. Five years later, LaMotta retired Pretzie in four, the penultimate win of Jake's career. (So far as I can determine, Pretzie is the one common opponent of Marciano and LaMotta.)
