"Silva is a better (not a good mind you) stylistic matchup for him than St. Pierre" too subtle for you?

No, but I still disagree, but even by your admission, the "better" is minimal

beating Dan Henderson doesn't make you a HoF.

    This I absolutely agree with:good

I thought Sheilds had a great chance to pull off the upset submission victory over Gsp, but looking back I definitely overestimated Jake sheilds determination and underestimated Gsp's cautiousness.

I like Silva vs Sheilds. doubt it will ever happen though.

    Yes I do.

To get that recognition from the MMA fans though, Sheilds will have to set himself apart from the rest of fighters within the UFC Having a fantastic career spanning 10 years but outside the two big promotions does little solidify your legacy in the eyes of most fans of MMA.

One of those guys who are on the cusp. It depends how special the HOF is, and who they let in. Going by Boxing and WWE's HOF, I would say yes, but he's not an elite HOFer.

Sheilds only went to 185 because SF couldnt match him in the WW division , bearing in mind they already had there WW star Nick Diaz , who is best buddies with Sheilds

He is not really a MW , hes definatley a WW ................

To reach HOF material you have to of beaten the best the world has to offer in or around your weight class consistantly over several years , there hasnt been enough of that from Sheilds for me , yes his credentials are solid , and yes his skills are tremendous , but HOF ................ not for me

Shields vs Maia, Shields vs Mayhem, and if he's successful in those fights, then Shields vs Silva...

3 fights which are infinitely more interesting than hanging around WW Jon Fitch style when you can't beat GSP.

All three of those fights are matches Shields can win. I doubt he finishes any of those fighters though. Tough, tough, fights for a jake shields stylisticly. Maia has improved his striking too.

I would also like to see shields vs any high-level midleweight grappler (their are a lot of them) like Jacare and Sonnen. Good ****:good

If that's the case why did he want to debut as a middleweight and had to be publicly talked out of it by Dana White?

    Who's GSP fighting in October?
