Wtf no we wouldn't. All of these guys are heavily flawed. That makes for a poor era especially when it is across the board and even the top guys suffer. If Joshua didn't exist it would be a worse era. We wouldn't say it is better. The boxing technique across the board is so terrible.
There was a time Seth Mitchel was the next great American HW...Those were dark days for the HW division. lol. Thankfully its in a much better place now.
Is America so bad right now? The UK may have Joshua and Fury, but Wilder nearly decapitated Fury ... and may do so in May. If we revisit this thread in June, and Wilder and Miller have both won, how bad will the U.S. heavyweight landscape look if two US fighters own ALL the bells? There isn't much separating the US and UK right now ... as Wilder-Fury I demonstrated. Dillian Whyte is very good. But Kownacki probably beats Chisora at this point. The UK just has more fan interest at the moment.
Exactly. There was a time when Michael Grant and Dominick Guinn were the next great American heavyweights, too.
Wilder lost damn near every round to a Fury that historically speaking shouldn't be competing at elite level right now. Wilder has the worst technique I have ever seen from reigning champion. Miller is also very fundamentally flawed. From a technical perspective out of Americans in the top 10 Breazeale appears to have the most boxing ability. That's just bad man. Everyone is just a bad boxer.
I'd love to see it, but I think Miller is too slow footed and plodding. I expect Joshua to win a dull fight.
Nope. The second best is Bryant Jennings. Miller himself is the best. The fraud with the green belt is 3rd.
I wouldn't pick another US HW over him in a match..............I'd even be hesitant to pick Wilder TBQH...... What's crazy is stylistically I think Miller does better against Wilder than Joshua would. Style wise, if he stays close he can clearly muscle Wilder around and take away the winging shots, Miller also moves his head and upper body. Wilder can't push Miller away, and Miller is very active as far as mixing up shots (stamina). And if his chin can hold up to Wilder (and so far it looks great)...................... Miller is horribly underrated on here
From a technical standpoint id say he is the most skilled out of them all , he's just too huge to put it together.
