If that were true, it would be bad. But it's not.

Dominic Breazeale is NOT the best U.S. heavyweight boxer.

He barely survived Amir Mansour, before Mansour retired with an injury after biting his tongue.

Joyce stumbles around the ring already, his footwork stinks.

Miller doesn`t have the power, he`s got the chin it seems, he`s got a better engine than AJ and his work rate might be good enough but I seriously doubt it.

Even if Brezeale isn't the second best that does nothing at all to the point I was making.

Well considering he scores at least a B+ in both the skill and power categories I'd say he is better than Ruiz Jr. (A- skill; C+ power) and Breazeale (B+ power; B- skill). :nusenuse:

Well he is up there I would argue he is in the mix with Ruiz, Wilder and maybe Brezeale..

They all could mount an argument for the 2nd best US heavy atm...

No way is Miller objectively the number 2 HW in the USA.

Objectively based on level of competition and wins- both Breazeale and Hunter are above him. Ruiz Jr should be placed at 5th.

He ranks 4th at the moment. He needs to face a genuine top 15 opponent before we know how good he is.

We shouldn’t be in the business of guessing where a fighter ranks on potential or because they have a 0 in the loss column. Level of opposition and level of wins actually matters.

    Top 5-

    Wilder
    Breazeale
    Hunter
    Miller
    Ruiz Jr

h2h he may be the best. I'm not sure how Wilder beats Miller sans a lucky punch.

But it's all speculation because Miller hasn't faced top level competition yet. I rate guys like Wach and Dinu and consider them good wins. But they aren't the same as a win against a Top 10 guy.

I don't see Miller beating Joshua but I hope he makes it interesting.

Mansour didn't just bite his own tongue it wasn't a freak accident, Breazeale fractured his jaw which likely led to the laceration to his tongue. Basically Breazeale hit him hard enough to injure him, so it was a legit win.

Though I agree he isn't the best US heavyweight and saying he's the best technical US heavy is laughable, the guy has no jab, he's just a big strong, durable guy with a decent punch who plows forwards and keeps throwing, he's as basic as it gets.

Dominic Breazeale can't box his way out of a wet paper bag. He wins fights on sheer determination and a rock solid chin.

He can't put combos together and isn't as fluid as Miller. Miller looks like a 300lb version of Broner with better footwork. If Broner had movement he wouldn't be half bad.
Miller is surprisingly mobile and can cut the ring off pretty well for his size

All I know is that 3 of the top 4 ranked HWs in the world are British and all 4 of those world title belts should by rights be held by Brits. That's what I'm talking about.

Michael Hunter and probably Brezeale both beat Miller for me.
