I'm beginning to get fed up with these theories that JCC Jr is on PEDs. There's little or no proof of this. http://wp.me/p252qb-5D Has anyone got any concrete evidence?
i can confirm that he is not juicing, i clean the toilets at the wild card and have seen no suspicious behavior.
Yes. Look at pics of Jr at the weigh-in, then look at pics of him during the fight. If you mean, specifically, steroids & such, then the fact that he NEVER does a urine test is as concrete as it gets. You need more proof than that? Then you're the most naive person on ESB. End of discussion.
Yes, he gained 20lbs for ****s sake. He takes banned diuretics to make weight then peds to bulk up He's always been a dirty cheat.
Still nothing concrete other than spurious remarks about missed urine tests. Only two fighters on the Rubio card got tested. Rubio didn't get tested either. TDLR state that both Chavez and Lee submitted samples before the fight on Saturday and that they're waiting for the results.
From that article: 'The WBC, who sanctioned that fight demand pre and post fight drug tests on all title fights. However, in some instances they are prepared to follow the processes set out by the local governing bodies. In all there were eighteen fighters on the Chavez Jr/Rubio card. Only two were drug tested and that didn’t include Chavez Jr or the complaining Rubio.' ^^ This is what's wrong with boxing, rules don't mean anything, the WBC 'demand' testing yet allow it not to be carried out? Obviously nobody here has evidence. Personally, I'm a bit suspicious, coupled with the previous failed test and the weight issue, wouldn't be surprised either way. We heard on the night of the fight that he didn't give a sample, but now we hear he did? With so much money tied up in JCC Jr. lets just say it wouldn't surprise me if money exchanged hands somewhere along the line. The regulation isn't enough, it should be no test, no fight, end of. There's too much confusion and the truth gets lost along the way, which shouldn't be the case. We could debate all day and will be none the wiser, its opinion and it shouldn't come to that.
I agree, Collie. I'm not saying he's definitely not but just that it's impossible to say definitively either way as many have. I wouldn't be surprised at all if something shady is going on.
in most other sports missing a test is considered as serious as failing one. jcc has missed a number of tests to date, and has been caught using diuretics which, aside from the weight issues, can mask the presence of other substances. so you have a fighter with exceptional weight gain post weigh-in, with a history of using banned substances and who has missed multiple drug tests. there's a lot more there than just baseless allegations, you would have to be extremely naive to thing otherwise.
As I've already pointed out, the "missed tests" that everyone likes to talk about are nothing of the sort. Which test did JCC miss?
Must say, I was only passively suspiscious of JCCjr and PED's but I am slightly more convinced after reading through these posts. The sheer gain in weight after weigh in does point to something quite suspect, coupled with the other factors certainly puts some weight to the allegations. What is very cool however, is Martinez doesn't give a damn about it. He's said that OSDT isn't necessary for his Sept 15th fight with him. You can see that he's absolutely raring to go and doesn't care if JCCjr is on something, he know's he's knocking him out! War Sergio!!!!
the urine test at the rubio fight, as rubio's people made clear at the time. sure, sulaiman came out to brush it under the carpet a little later, saying that the wbc 'forgot' to do the tests. 'forgot' can anybody take this seriously? from the wbc rules: an organisation that puts on dozens of title fights every year, that has a requirement for every world title fight and eliminator is supposed to suddenly have forgotten to do what it does every time? aye, alright remember, this is a fighter who has already tested positive and served a (laughably short) ban for an illegal substance (furosemide) which, amongst other uses, can be used to mask assorted steroids and other peds. with a history like that jcc has no right to be given the benefit of the doubt; he should be tested more frequently and more stringently than fighters with no history, particularly as he consistently exhibits exceptionally large weight gain post weigh-in. i'm no particular fan of chavez or lee, or rubio for that matter. i'm a fan of boxing and what i see is people allowing their own prejudices in favour of a certain fighter to cloud their judgement; allowing their wish for a fighter they like to be clean to blind them to his actual behaviour and history. that's bad for the fighters and bad for the sport of boxing imo.
