To the contrary, Jean Pascal has nearly as much talent as Roy Jones, and you don't need all of Jones talent to do the things that Jones did. Jones always gave the fans a minimum effort to win his fights. The problem is Pascal doesn't use his talent as effectively as Jones used his.

Nearly as much talent as Roy Jones? Roy Jones is probably the most talented fighter in the history of boxing and one of the most talented athletes I've ever seen in any sport. You DO need all of Jones' talent to get away with the things that he did. That's what made him so special. Pascal is unable to use his talent like Jones simply because he is not as talented as him. Pascal is a ****ing joke, give me a break. I can't wait to see this guy get knocked out.

And BTW, Jones dominated B-level / A-level fighters and made it seem like it was nothing. If that's the minimum effort you're talking about, then I wonder what his maximum effort would be..

How many times have you seen Pascal fight to judge he is a joke? I bet you saw the yesterday fight and a fight on ESPN and now you judge the athlete. Pascal is a very talented fighter, not as much as roy jones, who was arguably the most talented fighter in boxing but he can be an A-level fighter and beat the limited Miranda if he improves his defence, which he can do.

Very well said....I've seen Pascal fight several times, and it is so obvious the man is literally trying to copy Roy Jones. He does not even come close to doing it first of all, and secondly, whatever concoction of a style he's using wont get him too far. He fights too lazy and thinks he can hide behind his wannabe Roy Jones style. Dont get me wrong, he's got some pop and can fight in sudden bursts, but he definitely should not be uttered in the same sentence as Roy.

Roy Jones, until the age of 33 i'd say, was DOMINATING people badly. The man was truly gifted, and his only downfall is that he continued to fight when he probably should have stopped. Roy's style is not one that allows him to fight as he gets older. Thats why guys like Hopkins can maintain for so long, because they never had styles that ENTIRELY depended on reflexes and athleticism.

Sorry for the rant, bottom line, Pascal aint no Jones.

I saw Pascal fight when he was amateur. It was something to see him fight at that time !!! :bbbI just think that he doesnt develop his talent the right way. May be he should change trainers or even promoter.

Fighting with an injury, facing last minute opponents, running after Miranda when he should be training (he has started to train full time like 1 year ago), training like a bodybuilder insead of working on his technique etc etc etc ...
