Is Jeff damaged goods after his bad experience v Calzaghe.? Joseph battered him methodically and he seems very jaded ever since..

    What is everyones opinions..?

He always seems to fight nowadays with his shoulders rounded as if his aura has been taken and he just doesn't believe in himself..

It is impossible to come back from a loss like that at the top. So yes, he has been ruined. At best you could say jaded but ruined is more appropriate.

For his sake I hope he gets out before he gets hurt bad in a physical way.

Yes. Calzaghe beat him so bad he will never recover.

Joe beat him black and blue in their encounter. Took a lot out of him then which could be seen in his following fight against Vitaly Tsypko who also beat him and should have received the victory. Lacy hadnt been the big shot in the first place anyway!
Anyway! Lacy seems to be out of the race for one of the better places in his weight division. Cant really see him winning any big fights anymore!!

Is this the guy who had a real career threatening injury - rotator cuff damage - has won his last 3, and has got himself in a position of a Super middle weight title eliminator in his next fight?

Yes because he also believe he will never lose to a white boy and he did.

It had to ruin his confidence. Even before the fight, he was walking back and forth and staring at Calzaghe like a pit bull ala Mike Tyson. It was the way he was completely outclassed that seems to have affected him.

But the weird thing now is that his power seems to have disappeared. I mean he landed so many flush right hands on Mendoza and it did nothing. That had to destroy his morale. You wonder where his power went.

He had a devastating career threatening injury to his shoulder (that explains the lack of power). He's come back from it, and in an eliminator for the super middleweight title in his next fight...

He looked very good the first 4-5 rounds. He landed so many flush, right hand leads. You wondered how Mendoza was able to take them. I think you would think a guy like Lacy landing those clean rights would do SOME damage. It did nothing. Then he got tired as the fight wore on and Mendoza seemed to have the upper hand. Close fight. I had Mendoza winning.

Try take a sustained beating of 1000 punches in a fight and land very few of your own and then come back and tell us that Joe can't ruin Lacy.

I think it's a combo of the Joe fight, his injury and the ring rust he has.

Lacy needs four to five fights within a 6 month period against people outside the top 20. Blow off the ring rust and regain the confidence.

But wasn't that on the left shoulder? I don't see how that injury can affect power from the right hand. Maybe i'm missing something?

As for Lacy's will to win

It's still there. He could easily have caved in and quit in the Tyspko or Mendoza fights, he stuck to it
