Who is behind this ill advised comeback ? :think

Maybe Ricky dosent really want it.

Maybe someone is pushing him into it -

Whoever it is - dosent have Rickys best intentions at heart.

I'm not a Ricky Hatton fan - but - my advice to Ricky as a human being would be..........

Ricky - you had a very successful career -
You were a decent boxer and won some world titles
You were a wicked body puncher
You were tough as old boots
You played the PR game well with all the bull**** cliched lines
    You became a celeb
And most important - you made oodles and oodles of Cash
But not everyone can go on forever
You were badly knocked out twice by the best LB 4 LB and it really distressed some people
    Leave it go son
Become a business and minor circuit stand up comdian
But for the sake of health and your nearest family family - leave it go
But your got your own free will and if you choose to carry on for the sake of greed for more money and glory - I hope someone sparks you to teach you a lesson

Whoever is behind Hattons ill advised comeback has ulterior motives.

Not his Mam - she loves him.

Not his Grans - he is still just Baby Ricky to them and they have no interest in his celeb status or money.

Not Magic Matthew - cos he respects Ricky as a fellow fighter.

So who are the two main suspects that come to mind ?

Ray Hatton - cos he just wants to make even more money so he never has to work as a carpet fitter again.

And Jennifer Dooley - you know how these WAG types think these days - get yourself a Celeb sportsman and marry him and and have his baby and then get a mega divorce settlement - look what happened to Ray Parlour - his wife took him to the cleaners - maybe Dooley - wants Hattons bank balance swell even more -so if they divorce she gets bigger cut ? :think

    Just a theory.

this is 1 of the very VERY few comebacks where you can actually apply logic to it

ricky has an army of fans who love and respect him dearly and he simply doesnt want there last memory of him to be laid out against pacquiao

he wasnt past his sell by date against manny by any means and it was only out of ring issues that forced through his early retirement

on this occasion i will delay judgement

The only thing pushing him into this comeback is his ego.

If it's for financial reasons then he has wasted an awful lot of money in a very short space of time and he doesn't seem the type to live an expensive life style he still lives in a 3 bed semi in Hyde I thought?

I'd say he's doing it to prove to himself he can still cut it and go out with a title rather than a KO and regather some old glory. I just don't think he can and in any case it's not worth finding out as he has plenty of £££ and should think about his kids and family and his health. If he had done a David Haye and 'retired' whilst simultaneously staying in remarkable shape and in training every day eating the right things, I might think differently but he really let himself go in the last 3 years and that's not going to help him plus he's older in any case.

Most people who get that sort of glory don't truly appreciate it because they think it's exactly what they deserve.
But Ricky is just like us,and can you imagine what it'd be like to have that kind of love and positivity towards you, only for it all to grind to a screeching halt and go horribly wrong?

I'm against this because I'm worried for Ricky, but I totally understand where he's coming from.
And given the way his missus used to carry on during fights(particularly losses) I'd be surprised if she genuinely wants this.
