Is Jerry Forrest a Good Step Up for Zhilei Zhang?

Forrest is better then a journey man imo, but a step up I'm not so sure, I think it's probably Zhang's best opponent to date.

Forrest went the distance with Takam and he's only been KOed once. I'm looking forward to this one, Zhang will win, but not sure how impressive he will look.

He looks terrible and if Forest gives it a good shot he might upset a few people

 

Really, Zhang should be fighting a ranked contender.

Forrest is a solid durable journeyman, but a win over him won't mean much for Zhang, who isn't getting any younger.

 

Forest is surely a level above journeyman status

 

Forrest kind of sat on the ropes and took it vs takam until takam tired out

If he can set to punch and not worry about counters he can be a tough fight. I could see a 7-3 or 6-4 decision where it's a shutout before a forest late rally

 

Forrest got robbed against Jermaine Franklin so I actually rate him decently, his boxrec ranking belies his actual standing.

 

Disappointing fight for Zhang who easily beat the durable no hoper.

Any version of Rudenko is better than Forrest.

Rudenko was zhang’s step up fight and he’s dropped his opponents since then and I know you can say covid but it’s not like guys got time on his side.

 

Hey ,more than willing to eat humble pie if he pulls off a few big wins

However i think he looks poor, power is average at best and defence is terrible

He gets tagged so easy and when he steps up that's gonna ruin him, unless his chin is amazing

Chisora will more than likely beat him right now...that's actually a fight id like to see tbh

 

Forrest fights like a sparring partner

 

Zhang and Hrgovic fighting on the same card against a past-prime guy with a day job (shouldn't have been sanctioned, a dangerous mismatch and there wasn't adequate care taken after the brutal KO) and someone who at one point was a reasonable opponent (who came with no intention of winning) was everything wrong with the world.

Zhang has good looking punches though. I think if he gets in gear he will batter his way through Forrest's defense and may stop him.
