What do you think? Has some quality wins on his resume such as Abner Mares, Hozumi Hasegawa, Vorapin, Mark Johnson (shot), and Jorge Arce (shot). But he also lost big time to other fighters such as Vasquez, Nishioka, Penalosa, de Leon, despite being such a talented fighter (his shaky chin and fragile body were his downfall). He was pretty inconsistent but he was a beast whenever he performed right. Personally I've always enjoyed watching Gonzalez fight. He was like Ricardo Lopez but without the chin and durability.
We'll see how the rest of his career progresses. I'd say no at this point. If he can beat Donaire and some other guys at Featherweight I think it might merit an introduction. Gonzalez has many losses on his record but if you look at his resume he hasn't ducked anyone around his weight division.
Jhonny is a watered down version of Finito. If Terry Norris was inducted I don't see why Gonzalez shouldn't. Maybe borderline inductee, wouldn't be against it.
I like Gonzalez but as it currently stands he shouldn't. He'd need a couple more very good wins to help erase some of his lesser losses to put him on the border.
No, but a little more than some of the other guys being thrown around on these forums asking if they are HOF worthy...
