Yup i looked everywhere for that. I wondered why it had been deleted as ive seen it before.

As i said in my post, Wilde reportedly had the flu the week before the fight (and was even sick just before he got in the ring). This may of had something to do with his somewhat 'lackluster' performance.

Lee was good as well. Wilde avenged the loss of course.

    Langford though....Lightweight to Heavy.

5'6, greater opposition stopped, more footage, crazier P4P achievements....Langford all the way :deal

Like i said Flea, Langford was a freak of nature! How on earth a lightweight (who defeated the great Joe Gans) went on to knock out Heavyweights is absolutely mesmerising. People rate Manny's division jumping as supurb (and rightly so) but Sam was a ****ing beast, pure and simple. And i'll concede, he probably was the greatest puncher ever considering his division jumping. But i'm seriously homo for Wilde, so he is my number 1

Modern conditioning? Wilde may be past prime but look at Villa, quality fighter and a fine offensive fighter.

It'll get taken down again I imagine, but I have this and the small footage of Wilde being stopped against Lee, which is essentially for completists only as it shows nothing but a bit of clinching and the bout ending  *******s.

Yup he was exceptional flea. A true 'what if' case with his early death.

Wilde still looked pretty good tho, after a 2 year lay off and being hit after the bell in the second. He had Villa in trouble early as well.

Yeah, he did, especially considering ATG Peter Herman had beat him in his last bout. Wilde could fight like that in any era, I see no problem with his application at all, in his prime he would've been beastly.

And the thing is Flea, people often say the old timers had no technique at all! Here we have Wilde looking great a million miles after his prime after a two year retirement, and Villa looking even better! Frightening stuff
