I never thought much of Tuaman, except, for his hooking power shot.... Tua's skills and lateral movement have always lagged... As for George Foreman in 1977, well, Foreman had his head up his ass in Puerto Rico... Plus, Foreman never seems to do well in high heat and humidity.... Still, I'd bet that had Foreman not freaked out on Jesus and Burger King in '77, and stayed with boxing, he'd have hammered Jimmy Young in a rematch under different circumstances.... MR.BILL
We can only go on what did happen. And what did happen was Young putting on a masterclass against Foreman. Foreman was probably in a better mental place as of the Young fight then he was in while IN Africa training for Ali. He potentially ****ing sliced his own face to delay the Ali fight. He had an entire nation chanting for him to die. Witch Doctors casting "spells". He brought a dog over that was the same breed as the ones used by militant Police to attack civilians. He thought his food was being poisoned. Guy was having a ****ing mental break down while in Africa. Anyway, Tua managed to destroy two world champions in a combined two rounds, along with plenty of other quality wins. He as lacking, but he was more then capable.
George Foreman was just paranoid about the heat and humidity in Rico back in '77..... Gil Clancy has said several times, had George just gone out there and applied pressure and punched with mean intentions against Jimmy Young, he'd have belted him out of there... But according to Gil, George Foreman wanted to try tricks and dirty tactics instead.... It was a bad mistake on Foreman's part....
young gets ripped off on an all-time ranking at heavy because of the ali decision. if he would have won the heavyweight title, i'm sure he'd be much higher on people's lists in general.
