nah bro...a handful of better fighters before him...sad though, cause jmm definately had the talent but many guys avoided him and he's been robbed atlest 4 times in his career.....could've been up there passed EM, and MAB

    I go with this list.

Mostly because I have the first 6 about right. The other 4 you can shuffle around if you like.

And I am a bigger JMM fan than JCC.

I have about 9 fights of Zarate, and he has his qualities, but I don't think the Bantamweight division was at his finest when he dominated. I wasn't generally impressed with what his opponents were doing. I like the resumes and abilities of Marco and Erik over Zarate. The discussion has come up many times.

I could admittedly invest more time in researching Canto.

Here's great idea for a thread, I hope to get responses from you, Addie, TommyV, and all of the good posters who have visited this thread:

    Best performance of these three...

    Chavez vs Rosario,

    Olivares vs Rose,

    Sanchez vs Gomez.

Now that is a tricky one!!!

Ruben Olivares, Salvador Sanchez, Ricardo Lopez, and JC Chavez are all ranked above JM Marquez in my book.

Those two are so closely ranked that you can't really complain about either one being one place ahead of the other in any list, no?

I think Erik Morales has the slightly better resume, whereas Marco Antonio Barrera won the trilogy. For those reasons, I think they are interchangeable.

I think Zarate's proficiency as a puncher(GOAT at that weight arguably), he just lacked a signature win in a lot of ways. Too bad he couldn't beat W. Gomez... I got a soft spot in my heart for Zarate though, just love his style a lot.

You should definitely watch Canto, he is not a typical bang bang mexican stylist and i think his very defensively adept, all around pure boxer style would appeal to you greatly. He's awesome to watch.
