    Straight back at ya.

He`d have done the same... lost. No version of Hopkins could ever outwork Calzaghe. JC = natural born winner. I can see a knighthood on the horzion.

He doubled his cash demand, which he knew would torpedo the fight,it`s a known fact. Hopkins = sh*tbag

If Hopkins opened up more he would simply have got caught more. If you are trying to suggest ANY version of Hopkins outworks Calzaghe you are clearly delusional.

Hopkins was clearly a lot more active early on, and was more open, and he won those rounds. He simply needed to keep that up without gassing due to age and having to fake low blows to get time off. Or being so old and decrepit that he couldn't remember which corner he had to go to (4 times).

When Hopkins was most active and open he was winning rounds - so the younger Hopkins losing by opening up more theory doesn't hold up, imo, simply because when he was more active he won rounds.

    One more time:

Calzaghe was Pressing Hopkins for a matchup in 2002.

It was Hopkins who ducked out.

Here’s what the vice-president of Showtime said about it:

    So Joe didn’t duck Bernard.

Bernard pulled the plug on Joe.

(IMO, not because he was scared of Joe. He was just too greedy).

Hopkins gave Joe a tough fight cause he cheated at every given opportunity. Headbutting and holding on like a lonely octopus every time Joe got anywhere near him.
Why did he do this? To stop Joe from throwing the fast combinations that are his trademark. Had Hopkins not been allowed to cheat; it would have been an easy victory for Joe.

You are really making a fool of yourself. No more talk about Yanks and blowing Calzaghe. You should make your way to the MMA Forum. :hat

How many HARDER, MORE PROFESSIONAL SHOTS did he land in total throughout the fight? Was it 11 or was it 12? Help me out please, I've forgotton?

What about Bernies racist comments prior to the fight eh? I bet you loved that eh? Right up your alley.

Yes...but only his own legend. When you RUIN someone's career, like Tito did to Vargas, then you may lay that claim. But he has no more right calling himself a legend killer then D. Diaz does for Morales or Berebick for Ali. Beating guys when there done means nothing. Joe know that. His fanboys know that. Doubt they admit it.
