    Glancing forearm.

There's a difference between a forearm straight on and a glancing one.

Hopkins asked for more money because he was the one who had to move up in weight and was the popular fighter compared to both being an undisputed middleweight champion, Joe was just a SMW titlist, he wasn't even the undisputed champion there and had his own share of delusional demands which ruined possible fights.

The SMW division never really had enough dominant champions to compete with Joe's resume, as weak as it is. The division is only great now and never had enough big names so I can't really blame Joe here or anyone else, even at the end of his career he had to move up to make some fights.

Regarding opposition sometimes you have to show some attempts of trying to bring major fights, Joe never really attempted, if anything his demands were as delusional as others. At least Jones and Hopkins were established names with big fights in their records, Joe never really had anything worth bragging about till Lacy decided to make the move and make the fight happen, if Lacy didn't try that fight wouldn't happen either.

Because both were quite happy fighting limited fighters making money!!! all I said is that Calz never refused to fight Jones as your rearlier statement said!!

And let's be honest, Jones himself hasn't always taken the toughest fights out ther has he!?!?!

It's funny that no other punch in the whole fight seemed to hurt Calzaghe...but the one he missed would have done more damage than the forearm that dropped him!!!!

    Ridiculous!!

And to say it was "glancing" is a very liberal use of the word!!!

That punch that Jones swung came with a lot of power. That's why the forearm hurt even while glancing.

Jones didn't really catch Joe clean with a powerful punch for the rest of the fight. And I mean a really powerful punch. Not his pot shots.

A lot..but I think Calzaghe has fought about 8/9 champs and we've agreed his resume isn't that good so it shows it doesn't really mean a great deal!!!

Jones' resume is solid (and a lot better than calzaghes) but it could have been better!!!

That was the most solid forearm shot I have ever seen in my life. Period. Cazlaghe's face/skull was wobbling all over the place. You can't deny the guy has a granite chin.

    Please watch it (at 4.30):
