Well, the fact that you agree with me doesn't give me a lot of confidence on my opinion anymore. Coming from a guy who's claiming Michael Spinks was a bum, more than likely because the only thing you've seen of him was his fight against Tyson at the end of his career above his best weight. Spinks is one of the top 5 LHW's of all time.
Right on. Michael Spinks, we're talking about? He dominated one the strongest eras of the LHW division. He was unstoppable at 175. Read some history, please.
Everyone's entitled to an opinion but faking low blows, holding & not throwing more than 5-7 punches in a round doesn't win you the fight.
Hopkins was sucking all the air out of the arena after the 8th, I cant see how anyone with eyes could score that fight for hopkins
When I said tyson was "hiding" in the usa i was being sarcastic, just because you fight in one place doesn't mean you are hiding. Fact is Hopkins and Jones didn't want nothing to do with calzaghe until they were old enough to use that as an excuse.
The only bum around here is in that picture you have, poor battered old roy jones looked like he was going to cry after getting schooled!
Faking low blows? Overacting maybe, but all of those shots were below the belt. That's LOW. It doesn't feel good. That, and 90,000 rabbit punches... Calzaghe was hitting behind the head a tremendous amount. The rounds in which Hopkins clearly outlanded Calzaghe with clean and effective punches were enough to win on the cards. By the numbers.
Thts because american punches are all worth three british punches on the american scorecards, its a little known rule of boxing
