There are quite a few top 175'ers we'll never see Calzaghe against. Could he beat these guys?

I'll add a few other names from 160 and 168 to the multiple choice poll.

Hopkins already beat him, I'd pick Tarver and Glen Johnson over Calzaghe in a close fight.

Well we see when he grows some nuts and fights Tarver or Johnson in the future. But trust me, you know and I know he won't, cause he knows the risk is too great.

Well if he had the skills any of those guys had, than you'd be right I would think that.(and no, the woods victory over Johnson don't count, you know Johnson won those fights, if that's the logic your using)

i think road warrior johnson can take him. johnson would make it a fight in a phone booth and hurt joe. i wouldn't dispute joe at 168 he's the best, but not 175

chad dawson got the goods and the style to give joe a beatdown. Johnson is also a dangerous one that either joe wins by points or mauled badly. prime roy and bhop would take joe to school and back. everyone else INCLUDING Kelly will not have enough to do it.

Sorry, but you got the wrong person. It's just coincidencal that both are white fighters. If I thought Calzaghe had beat Hopkins, i'd admit it, but I don't think he did from the way I scored it and I watched it over 10 ****IN TIMES. So trust me, it definetly don't gotten nothing to do with race. Or maybe it could be the fighters I named happened to just be black, you know.

Tarver, Johnson and even Dawson would pose big challenges to Calzaghe and till he beats them, he's not the best at 175.

chad dawson is every bit of joe and then some. Chad aggressive, tons of punches, fast, hits harder, and durable. chad will throw more than 20 punches per round than what bhop is limited to.

I agree. Glen definitely have more than 50% chance to beat Joe. Johnson can take anyone's punch at light heavy and will laugh at Joe's well amatuer like slap combos that score points rather than hurt. Johnson will glad take 5 slaps to land one as he did with chad and pressure the smaller joe all night. Nobody likes to fight someone like Glen. Glen will eventually get you no matter if given multiple chance no matter who you are at 175 even if you are more talented.
