is Joe Calzaghe the finest Britain has ever produced?

The shoulder injury didn't help either. Rightly or wrongly people don't Calzaghe a great deal of credit for that fight however.

Lacy and Kessler were defining but he needed more of 'em. I'm always left with a feeling of 'What if?' with Calzaghe.

    Me also.

There are also that many top fights that could have been made during his ten years as WBO holder that it's impossible to rank him as #1 ATG from the UK.

    I mean.......

    Virgil Hill
Roy Jones - a relevant one
    Carl Froch
    Dariusz Michalcszewski
    Clinton Woods

    and so on.

He might have beaten all of them. Might have lost a couple.

It's just galling that he beat Eubank in 1997, then didn't face an opponent that the same Eubank wouldn't have been favourite to beat in nearly nine years.

He would've beaten Froch fairly easy I suspect and not gotten much credit for it. Who had Froch fought by the time Joe retired?
