**Is Joe Cortez getting to old to Ref top fights?**

    No excuses ..simply stating facts...and the only truth to you comment was that both were comminting fouls for different reasons...Joe Cortez did a pissed poor job of refereing last night

    yher before i get screamed at for saying "the reff is at fault", id like to sa PBF wins that fight any day of the week.

    i do however think hatton might have got further if he wasnt rushing in due to basically totally biased referring.

    Cortez was totally blind to everything pbf did and was picking ricky up on everything, he also has NO idea how to let a fight flow anymore, he needs to go and never ref a fight again.

    PBF was so classy though he made me even more of a fan this evening, i was very impressed and heart warmed by how he acted in victory.

    Cortez will always be embedded in my mind as the fight stopper God only knows how many of Tyson's opponents he has saved now he can add Hatton to that list !!

    Cortez is still about 10 times better than Nady, but he is getting old. Smoger and Weeks are the best I have seen this decade though.

    Nady has become yet another Lawrence Cole....

    To bad that Mitch Halpern commited suicide, he was one of the good upcoming refs

    Nope he didn;t, he disrupted the flow of the fighters, for Hatton and PBF..it was a hard fight to watch becuase Cortez antics...
