he is so inconsistent its impossible to precict how he will interpret the rules.. anyone catch his party political broadcast to the fighters in the pre fight instruction. usually its "ok fighters touch gloves and i want a good clean fight." cortez brought a 5 page speech in the ring with him.
he needs to retire. hes been in the game a looooooooooooong time steve smoger is one of the most under rated refs out there and needs more big fight assignments
To be fair it was one of Infirm But Unfair's less incompetent recent displays, at least until he forgot to put the clock off when Thompson was rolling around holding his leg.
And he forgot to stop the first round when the bell went. Considering how little he had to do, Cortez was hardly glorious in there.
Cortez was in there AGAIN breaking them for no reason and trying to make himself the center of attention. I'd love to see a stray punch hit him right in the head and end his career.
Seriously are all fights that bad when held in Germany. i only see a small percentage but it seems to be the consensus. Stupid Cortez. get a new job. didnt he give that guy a win on the Pac-man undercard for one glancing blow?
