  1. Boxers will travel to be with trainers. That's a fact.

Ask youself when has smoking Joes fighters ever won in 50/50 fights?

His success is purely built on Hearns maniplation of the boxing system

Most of the time all the odds are stacked firmly in his fighters favour

I'd agree Joe has hit a purple patch, and he's also had a blessing at the calibre of opponent his fighters have won world titles from.

Let's not forget however, Joe couldn't manage his fighter to beat Derry Matthews at two attempts.

Good trainer. Gets a lot out of his lads and they seem to want to walk through a wall for him. He clearly knows how to motivate his fighters.

The bad points are that a lot of his fighters do have a similar style. He is an offensive, high output trainer, but, upper body and lateral movement are sorely lacking at times. Although, you could say that about a lot of British and Euro trainers.

When do you ever see 50/50 fights around the world? The one this weekend was definately one.

This year Quigg has had a 50/50 vs Martinez, same with Smith vs Fielding and Crolla vs Perez, or fat Smith vs Abraham or Ward.

I'm sure Liam Smith was the first person to thank Hearn :)

His fighters may be with the big promoters but wasn't always the case. As an example Crolla was with Gallagher before Hearn and has been the underdog (or at least 50:50) in a number of fights - Farrell, Rees, Murray and before the fight a lot of people on this forum saying how Abril then Perez would school him

He might be easy to dislike but has to be one of our best trainers
