I despise Ruiz. His ongoing WBA title challenge saga has been an embarrassment to the belt itself and has lasted for what seems like an eternity.

However, ive noticed that not only on these boards but with bookies and the general public,'the quiet man' is being completely written off as an easy nights work and an irritant that needs taken care of before the big bouts with either one of the Klitschko Brothers.

Some have even questioned Haye's mentality in the build up to this fight. His weight is a massive concern to me and why has he decided to bulk up against a man who's main talents in the ring are to hug and rough up his opponents. Surely what he needs is speed ... greasy, lightning fast speed?

Ruiz has a modest KO record, but so did Mormeck and he was able to get to Hayes chin(despite Haye having a 6.5" reach advantage)

Gun to my head,i'd opt for a Haye TKO but with the odds as juicy as they are i'll be having a stab on a victory for Ruiz.

Then instead of HAYE Vs KLITSCHKO!!!

    It'll be ruiz v chagaev

Did you see Ruiz's last fight? He looked terrible with his "new" style. Terrible.

I think Ruiz will return to his usual style against Haye. He's 38 with 50 odd fights so I don't think a couple of training camps with a new trainer will greatly change things for him. He'll try and spoil his way to a victory against Haye.

Ruiz did look shite on the Valuev - Haye card though. If he isn'r MUCH better, Haye dismantles him quickly.

He wont be much better and I think he gets KO'd within 6 he doesnt have the heart to go for it and I think that Haye has the footwork to stop him from spoiling.

You cant really blame Ruiz for getting endless WBA title shots. Its the WBA themselves that have become the biggest joke belt of the major 4. They devalue 'champions' by often having 2 holders in each division. Chagaev had the 'real' WBA title but lost to Wlad. Meanwhile Valuev lost the paper version to Haye.

I dont think Haye or his team will take Ruiz lightly. Ruiz is fairly durable and is capable of dragging Haye into the later rounds and if he cracks Haye with a solid right hand it could be big trouble for a tired Haye.

Given the chance Wlad and Vitali would knockout Ruiz...so Haye needs to make a statement and use his speed and power to close the show.

You don't have to look into this fight to find out who is going to win, remember you can't change the strips on a Zebra so with that said Hayes wins easy ( Old Chinese saying if you have to search to hard for decision you end up with poop in face ).

I think Haye will jump him in the first round. Test his chin. I don't think Ruiz at this stage of his career will have the resistance to cope with Haye's power. He won't have the speed to get out of the way either. Haye will open him up and take him out very early. Within 4 rounds I feel.
