Do you think Jon's performance last night solidified himself as the greatest of all time?

It was pretty well solidified back when he KO'd Daniel Cormier with a head kick, but now it's just getting outlandish. Resume-wise, he's set the bar so high that no one in the foreseeable future has a hope in hell of usurping him. Especially with how shallow most of the divisions are these days, and how eager successful fighters are to just up and retire after a few defenses.

I'm personally rooting for Alexander Volkanovski to leave his mark in a similar way, but the competition in featherweight has went from 0-to-60 over the past few years; so it's going to be some kind of monumental task.

Pffff....he beat a guy with only 11 wins, take it easy there. Any fighter in MMA that moves up a division and wins a fight is automatically a goat contender nowadays, it is insane.

    No:
    1. Was given victory when he lost some fights, like at least three
    2. Got busted with PEDs three times, but never banned for life as it happened to others for busting them only once
    3. Never sanctioned for eye poking

All of those three points means he's the golden boy of UFC and has serious back behind him, so we can question many of his results. All the blabber about "his ring IQ" is just BS.

Yes, and I will debate anyone (and win) on this subject

However I had GSP as the GOAT until Jon bagged heavyweight gold. It was annoying me how Jon was hyped up as da GOAT before subbing Cereal Grain, and I also noticed George was hardly mentioned all fight week. Pretty disrespectful. I know GSP and Dana aren't BEST friends but neither do they have legit enmity like Couture and Dana do

Fedor is the goat and Jon Jones is a multiple time proven ped's cheat. GSP was just as dominant as Jones ever was.

It's well-documented that Pride didn't test for steroids and made it a point to inform their fighters of this

Which was fair - everyone was on PEDs probably, while UFC allowed the usage of such just to some. And yes - Fedor, Mirko - those guys are an example of an ATG. Plus, the rules of PRIDE were awesome.

Yeah Pride was golden age MMA. I love the UFC's production values but the sport lost its soul years ago. Fedor vs Cro Cop is peak MMA. Legendary stuff

I gave this a bit of thought after the event and again on Monday when Ariel done a segment on this.

To be completely honest with you, the term GOAT is just to premature for MMA. The sport is too young, and there isn’t enough quality yet.

Jon Jones is probably the best so far, rather than the greatest of all time. But that can be argued, he got a gift against Reyes who got KO’d nasty by Jiri so we can just go around in circles.

The only dominant champion there has been is Khabib, and he has an on par resume with Jones. It can be argued that Khabib has beat the better fighters as the sport had evolved more than in comparison to when Jones was beating people like Rampage, Machida and co.

Beating Gane doesn’t do anything for him, and neither will beating an older version of Stipe. Gane was proved ultra green in the Ngannou fight, he got outwrestled by someone who looked exhausted and has probably a very novice level of wrestling. He shouldn’t have been in their with Jones.

Its a tough one to call as to who is the best so far, but there is no GOAT in MMA. Nobody has mastered it yet

Definitely. If he wouldn't have been DQ'ed against Hamill he'd have no blemishes on his record and one hell of a resume to go with it. The first Gustafson fight was hella close tho, could have went the other way if I'm being honest.

Until the next guy wins a big fight or goes on a title defense run. Because that´s how MMA works.
Every PPV there is a new GOAT or P4P best.

Khabib had 3 title defences and beat 2 champions in RDA and Conor. Baffling how this man could be called the GOAT. It's JBJ or GSP

Let's not forget the big name legends Jones beat were washed up small lightheavy weights past their primes that could easily make middleweight. Fedor to me is still the best, as he fought people larger than he was throughout his career.
