    haha nice thread SG

Evans has about as much of a chance as Zelenoff has against Pacquiao

Don't sell ChuckZ's new killer combo short Beouche. As much as I'm a Spider fan through and through, rumour has it that he's running from Chuck's very public Youtube call out.

Got to hand it to Rashad. That dude is always very well-dressed.

Nah, it isn't. When Ali and Frazier first fought in 1971, the reason it was so massive was because they were the very clear #1 and #2 in the division. This is not the case with Jones and Rashad, considering Machida embarrassed and destroyed Evans, and I suspect that Jones, Rua and Henderson would all do likewise. No-one would've said that about Frazier in '71.

Rashad has a good future in the broadcast booth if he wants it I think. Former champion, always dresses well, extremely articulate and obviously intelligent, has a sense of humour, comes across as a pretty good guy and he is very comfortable in front of a camera. I think after his fighting career winds down, Rashad could easily be some sort of UFC ambassador/media man.

    :hat

Rampage said in a post-fight interview that he thinks Rashad is the only one to beat Jones because they were training partners and he knows the book on him.

I'll put it to you this way - in my years training I brought many guys up but I never let myself lose to them no matter how good they became. I think the same could be true of Evans and Jon. Rashad will always be is big brother in the octagon.

No one's comparing it to the significance of the Ali/Frazier bouts so perhaps I was giving some of the higher functioning ******s on this forum a bit more credit than they deserved.

It was a matter of stylistic match ups. One guy being athletic and somewhat beyond technique and the other being a hard working fighter that grinds out the fight. It's all about styles.
