Why is he still fighting? last fight in boxrec says it was in mexico against a nobody.
is he still paying a fee for the fight against corrales that he didnt make the weight? does he owes corrales family money?...or did he get a penalty for cheating at the scale?...

Yes. My understanding is that he was effectively ruined by the court case.

Castillo has businesses and other investments in his home town of Mexicali, he may not have millions in his bank account but he will do fine.

then he should take care more of himself and stop fighting nobodies for 100 pesos.
i know he got sued by corrales camp when he didnt make weight, that fight was suppose to be very lucrative for both...there were millions in lost.Maybe is just behind paying debts.

This doesn't always mean they'll do fine.

he lives a good lifestlye in mexicali...he is well connected and his godfather has one of most succesful seafood joints here, so he's good....

he's fighting cause he loves to fight, not cause he has to....and i'm sure every fighter under 40 still thinks they have "that shot" at glory again.....

He did. I think he also specifically said he wouldn't be unretiring either. Sad.

Such a goddamn shame that Money ruined him not once, but TWICE. First Castilloe and now Hatton.

Well, wish him luck. Its just sad.But everybody cant be ODLH...
thing is that most mexicans boxers by the age of 30 are already done..they start too young and their style of going to war leaves a mark...i was looking at Salido the other night and he is not even 30!...
i worry at this point about Casamayor who at almost 40 still wants to keep going, now, el cepillo was a very elusive boxer who only at the end has been KO ...
