Is Jose Napoles Cuban or Mexican?

    He's Cuban, but his Mexican citizenship makes him Mexican.

    I see him as both.

    But when you see lists of great Mexican fighters, Napoles isn't listed. Not as far as I've seen. But he is beloved in Mexico.

    Yes. it was nice to read that he has a strong support system and he still is around boxing and goes in the ring

    Amazing when you think of it how Cuban boxing 'disbanded' after Castro came to power and outlawed the pros. It seems they dispersed in 4 different directions. Napoles, Sugar Ramos and Baby Luis headed to Mexico. Luis Rodriguez, Florentino Fernandez, Doug Valiant and Frankie Otero to Miami. Isaac Logart and Benny 'Kid' Paret to NY. And Jose Legra and Angel Robinson Garcia to Europe (mainly Spain). They melded into life in their Spanish-speaking communities where they proceeded with their pro careers. Am I missing anyone?
