Is Josh taylor the first scottish boxer in years

I agree. Taylor does seem to have power due to as he admits - his timing, speed and they don't see the punches coming. He's still working on building his actual punching power so he'll hit harder with each fight. The big test of his power will be when he steps up and fights someone like Burns. He could well go on to be the hardest Scottish puncher since Benny Lynch.

 

Burns is extremely teak tough and he knows how to survive when he's hurt. Stopping Burns would be a huge accomplishment for Taylor.

Guys got a point though, most of our fighters in recent years have had very little knockout power. Taylor on the other hand has some serious power as well as ability, only thing needing a test is his chin.

 

Taylor is looks promising but this hype is getting ******ed now.

 

The hypes not that bad, he hasnt had the media circus that joshua or khan had and he has just picked up the commonwealth in only his 7th fight. He deserves some hype considering how he performed against dave ryan and considering the way he has knocked out his opponents early.

 

How can you have any self respect as a man when you only have the courage to air your beliefs and words behind a cloak of anonymity?
How can you look yourself in the mirror knowing that you go about your normal life stifling your opinions for fear of others' reactions and the only time you have the courage to say what you want is on an internet message board? what a pathetic existence.
If you wouldn't say something to someone's face then why say it on an internet forum?
Both of them could tie a pair of pillows to their hands and could put you out cold.

 

What hype?

 

I like Taylor and he does have good potential but he's bashed up a glorified journeyman in Ryan who has chronic back problems. Didn't prove anywhere near as much a people are making out
