Is Joshua Clottey the most underrated boxer today?

well i could say yes as nobody is talking about him, and he's on a winning streak against good fighters.. he defenitely needs another shot

 

well ike might have had the better jab, but the defense and speed go to clottey imo.

 

There were a lot of people who considered Ike the best welter in the world the same time as Oscar, Pea and Tito were there. He was much more impressive than Clottey has een up till this point. Its not even arguable.

 

Or just jabbed the **** out of him, all night, while Margo just kept walking into it and getting cut until his corner stopped it and told him they wanted him to remember his name when he grew up.

Neither IMO. Unless you're referring to the fact that Ike sometimes went a bit on the wild side and decided to trade blows. Otherwise his stance and defense were extremely tight and difficult to penetrate. That's another edge for Ike though, versatility.

Depends on when you're talking about. Tito had already made a name for himself by the time Pea was beating McGirt, which was the best Pea got at WW. DLH didn't make his name at the weight until he won the controversial Decision over an older Pea.

Clottey is 31 right now and still hasn't made a serious run. What makes you think he is going to surpass someone like Ike? As far as Pea? Sure, he had seen better days, but he was still one of the top 3 or 4 welters in the world. Whats your point?

 

That's not at all true though, you're just spouting illogical nonsense now. Quartey was undoubtedly a harder hitter, as well as an overall better fighter.

yeah but his defence is good and he doesnt get hit cleanly or get knocked down like crazy ike. So that 31 is a young 31, and the way it is looking he will beat collzao and get his shot against Cotto or someone hopefully so you guys will see the light and then I will bump this thread for eternity.
