Wilders early opponents were awful and one reason his team got him all those hand picked WBC defences against undeserving contenders because he was very poor even after 30 odd fights. Power got him out of trouble so many times.
To think Del Boy Chisora signed to fight Wladimir Klitschko for the World Title after 13 fights yet others are still nowhere after 30 fights.
Joshua had a CV of very low threat opponents right up to the Usyk fight and he still lost one of those. He is simply a good fighter above British Level winning vacant belts in an era that was simply rotten before Usyk cleaned it out. Now people are falling for the same same false hype train now he has had a thunderous run beating all time greats Franklin, Helenius, Wallin and Ngannou. There is no improvement in Joshua as he is what he has always been with the same problems surfacing as soon as he faces a resilient opponent that throws leather. The ingredients; mentally weak + poor stamina + poor punch resistance + no heart = The Humble Crumble.
Got beaten to a pulp by Dubois, but would end AJ's career, right. You guys are getting funnier by the day.
Joshua fought and defeated more Top 10 guys than Fury and Wilder combined, so this era really must suck in your eyes, lol.
love this top ten argument lol. He’s only beat one top dog and that was klitsvhko whi was 41, hadn’t boxed in ages, having just lost to fury, at Wembley… couldn’t have been any better for Joshua. Cards lined right up
There is always going to be a champion and a top ten in any era - the point is the era was absolutely rotten with zero elite fighters until the arrival of Usyk. A dedicated Fury was the only other boxer in that era who could have reached the same level if he lived the life of an athlete. The proof is in the puddings with many fighters well below elite level including Joey 12 Parker, Stiverne, Joshua, Charles Martin, Wilder and Andy Ruiz all becoming World Heavyweight Champions.
