Joshua isn't ducking, but I do sense that matchroom are dragging their feet. Maybe they want the Fury fight first which would bring in a lot more money. I dunno I'm still not excited to see Joshua vs Wilder yet, maybe its just the nature of Wilders fights they just seem like freak shows. Just dreadful boxing followed a freak KO followed by the strangest dancing/gyrating.

The Wilder fight is the one massive US payday in the pipeline for AJ. They want to make it as big as possible in my view.

    Not ducking.

Not ducking on AJ's part but I certainly sense a lot of stalling from Matchroom. They're trying to milk it for as much money as possible and it's tiresome as ****

Aye no duck. I doubt AJ is afraid of but Wilder that they are trying to turn him into the next dominant heavyweight and the means no always fighting the next best guy in line or the fight everyone wants to see.

To be honest Wilders last fight was as bad as most of his previous ones, a fat overweight former belt holder who hadnt fought in 2 years!!! Joke of a fight and yeah he took him out but i'm not overly impressed

it will be a big fight down the line but they are both vulnerable to getting tagged and that could de rail things

No ducking, just merely using Dillian Whyte as a pawn to make the fight bigger in the UK before fighting Wilder in Vegas.

Id expect Joshua to fight Parker in March, Joshua to fight Wilder the same weekend as the World Cup final. Sure it's Wimbledon final, Masters, World Cup final and British Grand Prix. Hearn will stick this fight on that weekend.

Then dependent on Haye or Fury, Joshua will have his homecoming coming against one of these on November/December

Don't think aj is ducking him because wilder is a terrible boxer but there is a bit of fear because aj has zero head movement and his gas tank is really poor and if wilder hurts him he will end the fight he will not make the error that klitchsko and if that doesn't work and he gets past the early rounds there's only one winner wilder so I think they are trying to get a few more paydays before they fight wilder

Hearn has openly said it's not happening in Vegas,it's happening at Wembley/or the UK at very least. It wont be PPV in the States that is what people are struggling to understand,it is dead their, mma is more popular. It dosent matter if AJ fights someone in the US before Wilder it still wont be PPV.It's a whole different market over there. This is the plan that Hearn has set for Wilder and AJ:Deontay Wilder v Dillian Whyte-Febuary 2018,02,Sky Box Office and Showtime then Joshua-Parker-March 2018.If both win and are on course they have all the titles for a massive unification in the Summer. Then Joshua-Wilder-Wembley,July 2018,problem is as you said it's the World Cup so maybe issues their. Then if AJ wins it will be AJ-Haye/Fury in the winter.

No he is not, We all know there are only a few good HW fighters out here right now, no need to rush this , the longer both guys build their names the more money it will make in the end, I personally think this wont happen next year too..

Lets see, but Deffo AJ on the right path, I just hope Fury throws his name in the hat too, because on a boxing skillset level Fury is the best boxer out of the lot.

    No, Joshua isn't ducking Wilder.

Wilder screaming for the Joshua fight isn't as genuine as many believe in my opinion.

There are a couple of things people are ignoring that are important, firstly, Wilder has stated on several occasions the fight should be in the US. That is not going to happen for a couple of reasons, Wilder isn't a draw anywhere and Joshua is filling huge stadiums in the U.K.

Wilder says in one interview he'll come to the UK then in the next interview says he is the champion, the US is the home of boxing and where the real money is, he contradicts himself constantly.

Secondly the money itself, just as yourself this question.. if Wilder demanded 7 million to fight Whyte then what will he demand for Joshua in a Stadium fight? I am absolutely certain once we see them start talking seriously about money and splits you see Wilder price himself of this fight.

As for the constant calling out, Wilder has to shout about Joshua because he has nothing else to shout about, Stiverne II was a farce, what's next? Breazeale?... that's right, Joshua's mashed up old left overs.

While Joshua was knocking out Klitschko in front of 90,000 in Wembley Stadium, Wilder was coming off Gerald Washington in Legacy Arena which I believe is around 17,500 max Capacity,

Do you see the difference? it's ridiculous, they are not comparable in terms of draw, money and resume and once Wilder accepts this I'm sure the fight can and will be made.

How exactly has Wilder 'earned' the right to face AJ? he has done the best he can to avoid any real challenges. He claimed AJ wanted to only fight in his backyard, yet he has fought in America, Wales & Scotland when was the last time Wilder left Alabama?

Wilder is deluded, & If you believe Wilder wants real challenges outside of maybe the AJ payday then so are you OP.

Both were mandatories right? He had no choice. Also Wilder got the hell out of there before anything was even clear or decided by the WBC, leaving no way of going through with the fight. He doesn't want real challenges, it's fairly obvious.

Deciding the purse split for this fight is going to be near on impossible, Wilder may well be a world champion but the star power difference between him and AJ is ridiculas, Wilder only sold 11,000 tickets for his last fight while AJ has done 90,000 and 78,000 in his last 2. AJ has headlined PPV shows that have done over a million buys, Wilder has yet to headline a PPV show. Both sides agreeing on a fair split is goin to be a nightmare.

He's not ducking Wilder, he just isn't in any rush, he isn't desperate. Wilder isn't a huge draw and he isn't hugely respected. Wilder is just one of many options for Joshua.

Wait, you bring up Tyson Fury and say Wilder’s fights are freak shows?

Fury’s entire life is like one of those warped fun-house mirrors at the circus.
