You guys are insane or just infested with hate. I know the hype was annoying and I am not even a big fan but bloody hell. The guy is a real good fighter and has been for ages. Of course he is flawed and taken some bad Ls but he has achieved great things.
I agree, however you're one of the most miserable negative posters on here so it's hypocritical for you to be saying this. And don't deny you're a big AJ fan, considering how fragile you are over any criticism of him, I'd imagine you've got posters of him on your wall
I can't believe we're on the fifth page of this one, can we just make it a poll and close the thread down before I lose hope for humanity! No, he's not but he's also not the new Ali.
Well its a fair enough question mate you have your view on it but theres comparison to be made they are similar lot of ways dkunwande didnt have the sweet Caroline and fireworks though did he
There's barely been an answer to it in 5 pages, there's been more arguments about other things than that, more insults thrown etc. Akinwande didn't have a bad career, it is defined by a DQ loss to Lewis by a lot of people as that was his biggest fight but he could bang and he had some very decent wins. Joshua has been managed well but then so has pretty much anyone successful in the sport in his era so the notion that it's just been Joshua having it all his own way isn't accurate. Since Joshua turned pro Josh Taylor is the only Brit I can think of who has done ridiculously old school things in relation to who they've fought, what they've achieved and how quickly they've done it.
Fury won everything against scariest boxers on planet in there countries josh Taylor fought midgets not like fury nor biggest punchers in sport Joshua beat folk like moline Martin and that no need for the insults cheers pal
I don't think it's Josh Tyalor's fault that there are no 6ft 7 or whatever guys at 140, you can only fight the guys in your division and he's fought the best and he always went after the best, the WBSS was a fantastic tournament at 140. There is no need for insults so if people could just chill out that would be great and certainly help this thread, it was on a hiding to nothing from the word go but I've tried to give it some credibility by answering the question posed.
Akinwande beat: Orlin Norris Axel Schulz Alexander Zolkin Jeremy Williams Tony Tucker Jimmy Thunder Scott Welch Johnny Nelson if was boxing today most British boxing forum persons here would say he's amazing boxer! clearly better than Whyte whatever you think of him
Don't forget John Fury, he's the hardest man in the World! That is a decent list there, it's a shame that he's kind of a forgotten man of that era.
I wished Wilder's management had the same confidence in him that you have. We wouldn't of seen Wilder of ducked Wlad, AJ, Whyte and Parker like the plague to fight the likes of Washingston, Duhaupas, Spzilka etc.
