Yes. Chin is cracked and his once vaunted work rate is no more.

As a world contender? Yes. Dude’s 38. Manner of the losses made him age another 10 years, dude’s like 48 in his body right now.

Not to say he still can’t be matched in fights people wanna see him in. Dubois rematch maybe? Whyte? Maybe even Chisora.

I really like Joyce, that’s why I want him to retire. It’s painful to watch him fight and I’m scared I’m gonna see someone get killed in the ring if he faces a puncher.

Yes he’s done as a top tier HW. The Zhang losses ruined him. He looked awful against Ali.

    Approaching 39.

Relied heavily on his chin which has been smashed to smithereens twice inside 6 months.

He is never going to get back to the level he was at prior to the Zhang fight.

That doesn’t mean he is shot.

For a current HW shot fighter an example of that is Kownacki.

    Yes.

He looked terrible in his last fight.

If you got points for blocking punches with your face, he'd win prizes.

I think he’s done, a slow plodder that constantly came forward and took whatever came at him but eventually crushed his opponents to a fighter that’s been stopped twice and is even slower/heavier now.

Ali tagged him a couple of times, if that was zhang or any other big punchers I think he would’ve been dropped like a sack of spuds again.

I really enjoyed watching him fight but I hope he can finish on a high and retire safely. A dubious rematch would probably be a nice payday

Its depressing that he's fighting Kash fecking Ali.
And even as a big fan of his, yeah i think he's not going to do anything at the top level now.

On the positive side, he seems to be one of those fighters who has a diverse set of interests, so I hope he keeps his money and retires with those interests in mind. He's clearly a good bloke.

He was never very good. I never really understood the hype, it was insane to me that people were saying the lumbering oaf would be the guy to beat Usyk or Fury…

At the top level yes. He's got absolutely no ability to adapt and purely relies on his engine and chin both of which are diminishing.

    He's Euro level now imho.

Every single heavyweight of this era (Fury's era) is done...

    All are on the slide

& all the new batch are pretty pathetic physically, mentally, sexually you name it.

Normally I'd say just because you lost twice does not mean you're done. In this case he's like 40, he lost to the same person brutally twice and in his comeback he looked hideous.

He might be. You don't normally stumble at 38 and regain your footing. In fact, I can't really name a time that this has happened.

No, I don't think Joyce is completely done, I would like to see him against a world level opponent before writing his boxing eulogy. I guess one of the virtues of being slow is that you have no speed to lose; people were making the same criticisms of him now when he fought Bermane Stiverne, and he went on to dominate Joseph Parker afterwards. If Joyce trims down to a sensible weight, I think his engine and power are still there, and he can trouble the right opponent on the world stage.
