Resume's and what have you have you done for me lately doesn't put a guy in the top 10 for me. A perfect combo of power, speed, skill, balance, temperament, smarts, chin, heart, and fighting spirit make it for me. And this kid juanma has it all. Top 15? Are you kidding me he's top 10. Name more than 10 fighters in the world at any weight better. Nuff said!!
I honestly think so...a win over Izzy or Rafa should certainly solidify that...or a win over Caballero...
1. Manny Pacquiao 2. Juan Manuel Marquez 3. Bernard Hopkins 4. Shane Mosley 5. Israel Vazquez 6. Miguel Cotto 7. Paul Williams 8. Ivan Calderon 9. Rafael Marquez 10. Ricky Hatton 11. Juan Manuel Lopez 12. Nonito Donaire 13. Vic Darchinyan 14. Chad Dawson 15. Kelly Pavlik
he defeated gerry. that's all that matters. at least lopez did not pot-shot like de leon did against gerry. he is definitely top 15 and arguably top 10. you dont have to knock all your opponents out. if that was requirement to be highly ranked in the p4p rankings, calderon wouldnt be in the top 10
i made a poll two months ago and the results there was a complete opposite with today's poll... what's your response juanma non-believers? http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=122856&page=2
The one moving up in weight and win should merit p4p honor. Just like in chess, you earn big elo points when you beat a higher ranked player. In the case of Juanma, he faced a lighter opponent so he should not get big credit for that. Maybe, you're inclined giving Juanma big p4p credit because of Penalosa's stature.
Ummm...news flash that wasn't JuanMa's first fight...and his talent/ability is also taken into account in this case...not just resume...:good
