Hes better than each fighter in different departments, he was better than Barrera full stop, Bradley waass not near GGG`s level, he has a better chin than Manny had P4P and a far better more persistant jab, he is better fighting on the front foot than Floyd was.

In those ways yeah, but overall no, GGG isn't better then the four aforementioned fighters.

Prime Pacquiao is a different animal than the Pacquiao who fought Marquez. Also Cotto was weight drained when he fought Prime Pac-Man, and that was only a year after he was hit in the face repeatedly with bricks from Margacheato. By the time he fought Canelo, Cotto didn't have to struggle to make weight like he did vs Pacquiao. Also Canelo had a lot of respect for Cotto so he took it easy on him and proceeded to outbox him rather than come right at him and try to hurt him.

Beefy Smith was a durable top 10 opponent at LMW when he stopped him. Beefy had never been hurt like that or stopped like that and hasn't been since. Say what you want about Khan, but Bud Crawford couldn't do what Canelo did. He couldn't shatter that glass and knock him out cold like Canelo did, he could only end it with a classless low blow. You're trying to compare Marquez and Canelo's KO power by virtue of Pacquiao's KOs. Prime Pacquaio had other worldy speed and KO power. Marquez though didn't. Just because Pac-Man ran into a well timed shot from Marquez doesn't magically give Marquez the kind of speed and punching power that Pac-Man had in his prime.

    "Officially" it did!

But as we all know, Marquez had an extremely strong case to be the victor in those other fights but didn't get the rub of the green from the judges. It seemed the only way he would get the nod was if he stopped him... which he duly did!
