morales is also an elite fighter when he faced a peaking pacman. that was even more of pac's peak compared to now when he could be physically slowing down. even at 30 now, i pegged pac as in his prime and would not discredit anyone who will beat him by saying he is past his prime.

    Your hopeless.

Past prime Barrera vs Kevin Kelley
You know who Kevin Kelley is right? B level dude, never a world champion, journey man all his career, KO five times, Once by Bobby Pacquiao in just 4 rounds!!

Well this shows you how much Barrera had slowed down by the time he faced Pacquiao. Look how slow and sluggish Barrera looks compared to his prime. This is the same year Barrera lost to the Prime young Pacquiao. Tell me if Barrera was prime here.

I see what the problem is here.

The misunderstanding lies where many boxing fans have seen many fighters go from young hot prospect to young hungry contender to champion to past prime to shot.

We see the difference, we know the difference because we have seen many fighters go through this cycle.

Where as Pac fans, they have only followed one fighter, and only know one mans cycle. When Pac starts losing more fights, they will understand what is past prime, and they will argue, had he been prime this and had he been prime that. They will say prime fpr prime he would not have lost to whatever new young fighter he lost too.

That is why you can't argue with them, they don't get it, they are new to the sport of boxing on a world class level. Not all, but most. The others are just plain blind nut huggers.

JMM was 31 the first time they fought, who can say if he wasn't already a little past his absolute prime? I believe Pac's team THOUGHT he was.

Because morrels is an atg and he wasnt in his prime, so thanx for pointing that out, shows that maybe you are overating pac a bit if a past his prime morrales could find a way to beat him!

i would not discredit anyone who will beat pac at this time. physically he is on the slide but over-all he is on the top of his game and anyone who beats him now will get major props. i would not even resort to posting videos of pac when he was younger and faster and find videos where he is sluggish just to prove my point that he was not prime anymore compared to the time he beat barrera.

Morales was a better style matchup with his long arms... he had a long jab and a long right hand behind it. MAB is primarily a left hooker and better as a brawler, and at that point in his career he did not have the option to brawl with Pac, he couldn't sustain the same level of intensity that he could at 122 for sure. Pac is basically a swarmer with good speed and very good power, and when he gets hit he goes crazy and is all over you like white on rice. It's an easier fight keeping him on the end of your jab than trying to hook to his body and then fight him off of you.

He's only thirty. You will start to see some slowing in the next couple of years.

I give up! look lets agree to disagree you think barrera was prime, 95% of boxing fans think barrera was on the slide! so lets just leave it there

Oh? He beat MAB back in 2000, before the wars with EM? Funny, I can't find that in boxrec.
