There was no way Quarry was getting up from that counter left hook. He was throwing at the same time as Foster and Foster landed first and right on the button.

Jackson was unique for me. Iv never seen any fighter with that type of power. He's punches literally froze many opponent in their tracks as if his foe was hit with a bolt of lightening. Remember his KO of Herol Graham? Graham was out BEFORE he hit the floor. The time that punch landed was the same time that Herol was unconcious. Thats a whole different type of punching power.

in years to come and maybe even now all that'll be remebered about the bomber is that punch.d'oh.
graham's fist was cocked ready to deliver the ko himself when BHAM.
unbelievable.that really is the way to turn a fight round.

you have to feel sorry for herol too.the fight was so one sided and he was busting jackson up so he started to leave openings that he wouldn't normally.unfortunately for him he did it against the wrong bloke.

At 154 no doubt. At 160 he fits in with the elites but isn't easily the greatest puncher of all time.

I still say arguello and hearns were better.
They went up multiple weights against sturdy guys and still had one punch bangouts.
What would jacko do at lt heavy for example?

I will tell you what. For consistent quality durable chin smashing Jospeh barrow louis was possibly the GOAT,and certainly no-one was better than him.
I think many are getting carried away because jackson was a pure bomber who loaded up on every punch to get a home run. Hence when he fought top guys he generally came unstuck.
Hearns, arguello and louis landed and hurt every quality guy they were in with. They also won (including stoppages) at the highest level, which is all she wrote...

And at middleweight... They're small middleweights.

So you have a man coming in at 154, fighting at 160 where he's small.

Then you have one of the most notorious weight cutters of all time in McClellan, whom was a massive MW and could have fought at LHW.

Being small at MW kind of hinders your chances of being the very best knockout artist of all time there.
