But can any KOs top the brutal KO that Jackson handed to Graham? Damn! just like the announcer said he was out before he even hit the canvas.

He was 24 or 25 if I recall.

And that wasn't about pure power.

yes awesome fight, and the rematch was even faster. Those fight cards were awesome back in the day, with Chavez Randall, Terry Norris Simon Brown and Azumah Nelson Jesse James Leija and the Jackson Mclellan fights. Had to give Don King props for putting those cards together.

Why not? You act as if there is no way he is number 1

Nobody makes Jackson's punching power look like a toddler your post is hardcore bias with oldschool nostalgia. If Barbados Joe Walcott does in fact make his punching power look like **** prove. By posting fight footage of him showing off his one punch ko power if you can't then you can't talk. I highly doubt any quality footage of the man exists he was welterweight champ from 1901-1904. All the footage of his era doe not i repeat i can't find any footage i have seen that old which indicates that those guys were harder punchers. Jack Dempsey and Joe Louis are the oldest guys i recall who have there ferocious punching power display on film.

Jackson is #1 hardest p4p puncher in my opinion as well. He hit harder than hearns p4p. Jackson may not be the greatest puncher but he was the hardest. What i mean by greatest is there might have been guys with better technique to go along with there power threw sharper more precise combinations but when it came to pure one punch ko power Jackson was the man.

Also you guys should see his ko of Buster Drayton one left hook and jackson points down as he slowly falls. He did a similar thing when he was past his prime and looked shot against Cardamone when he turned the tide with one punch ko with a right hook and point as he fell.

Jackson mostly campaigned at 154lbs if I'm not mistaken and the only men I can recall that could rival his power at that weight are Hearns and maybe Tito......Nigel....Gerald......SRR.......I'm sure their are plenty more but I don't recall any fighter that I can saftely say had one punch KO power above the Hawk at that weight class.

Julian Jackson was #25 on that list. And that list wasn't about pure power, it took technique into account and accuracy. As for PURE POWER, Jackson is certainly up there. At 154, only Hearns is on that level IMO.

Possibly, but Arguello and Hearns are the BEST p4p punchers I think I have ever seen.

Nigel Benn and McClellan never fought at 154. I do believe in terms of pure power Jackson hit harder than Tito, SRR, and Hearns. However i would say that Hearns and SRR are greater punchers overall as they were more explosive, accurate and could throw blistering combinations. But in power i would say the Hawk was better. SRR one punch KO of steel chinned Gene Fullmer at middleweight is pretty convincing in his favour though but that was more due to his awesome timing and precision than raw power.

Benn & Gerald didnt but I was just mentioning guys around the weight class, fighters who campaign at 47lbs tru 68lbs tend to somehow maintain their power & reflexs despite the 20lbs difference in weight.....its in or around the common mans weight and height (at least the commen athelte/boxer)

Michael Moorer is a great puncher, Walcott is a great puncher, Foreman is great, Tommy Morrison is GREAT.
But really, I still think Julian Jackson is #1 p4p, all time.

I read an article about him along with Mr. Fitz....both where known to crack some skulls, then again padding was practically non-existant and some fights lasted 20 even 100 rounds. Someones bound to hit the deck even if you slapped them hard enough around round 48.

Sam Langford surely had pop from what I read.
